Author Guidelines

Comprehensive guidelines for preparing and submitting manuscripts to Logan Journal.

Before You Submit

Please ensure your manuscript complies with all the guidelines detailed below. Non-compliant submissions may be returned or delayed in the review process.

1. Manuscript Types

We accept the following types of submissions:

Research Articles

Original research findings (5,000-8,000 words)

Review Articles

Comprehensive literature reviews (6,000-10,000 words)

Short Communications

Brief reports of preliminary findings (2,000-3,000 words)

Case Studies

Detailed analysis of specific cases (3,000-5,000 words)

2. Manuscript Structure

All manuscripts should include the following sections in order:

  1. Title Page: Title, author names and affiliations, corresponding author contact information
  2. Abstract: 250 words maximum, structured with objectives, methods, results, conclusion
  3. Keywords: 5-7 relevant keywords
  4. Introduction: Background, literature review, research gap, objectives
  5. Methods: Detailed description of research design, participants, materials, procedures
  6. Results: Clear presentation of findings with appropriate statistical analysis
  7. Discussion: Interpretation of results, comparison with existing literature, implications
  8. Conclusion: Summary of main findings and recommendations
  9. References: In APA 7th edition format
  10. Appendices: If applicable

3. Formatting Requirements

Technical Specifications
  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
  • Spacing: Double-spaced throughout
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.5 cm) on all sides
  • Page Numbers: Bottom center of each page
  • Figures/Tables: High resolution, placed within text with captions

4. Ethical Requirements

Authors must confirm the following during submission:

  • Original work not previously published
  • Not under consideration elsewhere
  • All authors have approved the manuscript
  • No conflicts of interest
  • Ethical approval obtained for studies involving human/animal subjects
  • Informed consent obtained where required

5. Reference Style

All references must follow APA 7th edition format. Examples:

Journal Article:

Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), Page range. DOI

Book:

Author, A. A. (Year). Title of book. Publisher.

Website:

Author, A. A. (Year, Month Day). Title of webpage. Site Name. URL

6. Submission Process

  1. Prepare manuscript according to guidelines
  2. Create cover letter with manuscript details
  3. Submit through our online submission system
  4. Track submission status through author portal
  5. Respond to reviewer comments within 30 days
